Registration, invoicing, the schedule, score sheets, judge audio, awards, volunteers, and results — every piece of your competition in a single system that everyone on your team can actually use.
Current and former show choir directors, ezComp's people have built and run competitions A to Z — registration through the last award — and regularly sit on judging panels. And we all got our start on the risers first. Every screen in ezComp came from a job one of us has had to do on a competition day.
Most competitions are held together by a folder of spreadsheets, a shared drive, a signup site, a recorder, and a very long email chain. ezComp replaces all of it, and the pieces finally talk to each other.
One login for your whole competition team. Enter something once and it flows everywhere it's needed — the schedule, the score sheets, the program, the emcee script, and the results. Every feature is included with your annual license.
A competition is a sequence, so ezComp is built as one. Here's what each stage looks like.
Get groups registered, scheduled, and staffed — without chasing anyone down.
Directors register their groups online. Set your own pricing — first group, additional groups, late rates — and generate and send invoices from one page.
Drag groups into performance order and every time after them recalculates. Breaks carry a real duration, and exports come out as CSV or PDF with the columns you pick.
Build your own sections, categories, and point values. Set the calculation method per division: Ordinal Consensus, Condorcet, Sum of Ranks, or Total Points.
Assign your panel, build the critique rotation performance by performance, and email judges their assignment with the event dates already filled in.
Short a caption two weeks out? Search verified judges by area of expertise, state, how far they will travel, and whether they are free on your date. Message them without leaving ezComp.
Post shifts, collect signups, send reminders, and check people in — replacing your signup site entirely.
Collect bios, rosters, song lists, and photos once. Your program designer pulls from the same clean data.
Bring divisions, captions, and returning groups into this year's event in a click instead of rebuilding the whole setup from scratch.
A running list of what's still unfinished — divisions without placements, judges without sheets — so nothing surprises you on Friday night.
The part where everything used to depend on paper, runners, and hope.
Clean scoring sheets with built-in tie handling. Judges score, submit, and move on — no math, no paper.
Commentary is recorded and transcribed automatically, with clickable text that jumps to the moment in the audio.
Attending directors see the real schedule on their phone. Change a time and it updates for everyone instantly.
Write to your whole panel or every attending director from inside the event, with a live preview while you type and your own reply-to address.
Give your volunteer coordinator, treasurer, and program designer their own login with exactly the tools their job needs — nothing more.
Chat with us from inside your event while the show runs. We're on all day, and we've sat where you're sitting.
The 45 minutes that used to be the most stressful part of the day.
Confirm every judge is finalized, review the standings division by division, and lock in placements before anything is released.
Scored captions calculate themselves, hand-selected awards are assigned in a couple of clicks, and medal counts are set up once per event.
Drag placements, captions, finalists, and your own talking points into announcement order. Your emcee reads a live script with the real names on it.
Release results to directors the moment they're announced, one division at a time if you want. No printing, no waiting at the table.
Judge audio and comments go out to attending directors automatically — no drives, no folders, no follow-up emails.
Official results you announce publish to the community archive, accurately, without anyone retyping them.
Actual registrations.
Plenty of show choir hosts also run a vocal jazz division, a concert choir contest, or a solo & ensemble competition on the same day. Those live inside the same event, each with their own divisions, judges, score sheets, and results — one schedule, one awards ceremony, one set of logins.
One system, four very different jobs. Nobody has to learn someone else's screen.
Run registrations, schedules, invoicing, volunteers, scoring, and awards from one dashboard — and hand out access to your team without handing over your password.
Register as a hostRegister your groups, submit bios, rosters, and songs once, then follow the live schedule and your results from the bus. Judge audio and comments land in your portal on their own.
Find a clinician for your choirScore sheets that match the event's own rules and calculation method, tie handling built in, and audio commentary recorded and transcribed as you talk. Just watch the show.
Get listed as a judge or clinicianSign up for shifts, get reminders, and check in on the day. Coordinators see who's covered and who still needs filling.
Panels used to get filled from memory and a group text. Now every verified judge can list themselves — setting their own availability, areas of expertise and travel range — and hosts and directors can search all of it. You do not need to have judged an ezComp event to be listed.
Put your name out there for judging and clinic work. Set the dates you are free, what you judge, and how far you will travel. You choose what is shared and what stays private.
How to get listedFind a Clinician is free for every verified director, whether or not your school has ever attended an ezComp competition. If you can reach the director dashboard on showchoir.com, you can sign in and search today.

I was VERY impressed. It made scoring easy and awards so easy. The Control Center was great for day of, and we liked how the entire process was so linear. Just follow the steps and we got where we needed to be!
It was amazing to have all score sheets and comments available online as soon as they were released, and all in the same place for the duration of the season. I loved the option to transcribe comments, especially for getting through them before a finals performance.
Coming from multiple years of using Palu Tabulations, I'm really glad those features carried forward onto this platform. This entire platform was very user friendly for those of us who are not techno wizzes.
The setup for hosting events and organizing all information within ezComp was extremely easy and intuitive. It truly functions as a one-stop show choir event planner, allowing everything — from registration to schedules and communication — to live in one place.
It was my first season out judging. As a new person to this side of the table, I felt like everything was very easy to understand and find.
It was SO nice to have everything in one place, and to look back and compare one competition's scores and comments to another. I also enjoyed being able to invite others to see my scores so my fellow directors could look at things too.
Hosts tell us the tools make sense without a manual — and we still put a real person next to you from your first setup call through the last award of the day.
We sit down with you on a call and set up your divisions, judges, and score sheets together, so your event is configured the way you actually run it.
Open a case from inside ezComp whenever something's unclear. You'll hear back from someone who has run a competition day, not a ticket queue.
We're watching your event all day. Message us from the tab room and get an answer while the show keeps moving — schedule changes, judge questions, anything.
The ability to chat with someone from ezComp in almost real time was so helpful. It was our first time EVER to host a show choir competition, so there were a lot of things we were nervous about. Knowing that help was only a click away helped ease our nerves.
As an event host, I valued most the personal experience of having a video meeting prior to my competition day to ensure everything was set up in a way that would be effective for my event.
From a contest manager perspective, I loved it. I thought the ease of use was great, and the walkthrough session with Kevin prior to my contest was exactly what it needed to be.
Showchoir.com has been the community's archive since 2002. Palu Tabulations has tabulated competitions since 2015. ezComp brings that history and that scoring expertise under one roof.

ezComp launched in 2024 to end duplicate data entry. All season long, directors and judges were asked for the same details — photos, bios, songs, rosters, and more. We set out to make one place to manage it all.
Showchoir.comPartnering with Showchoir.com was a natural fit. It's the definitive archive for results and history, but community-reported data sometimes left small — yet important — gaps. Together we focus on accuracy, so what's preserved matches what happened.
Palu TabulationsezComp grew from passing information along to running the whole event — schedules, score sheets, volunteers, solo comps, and more. We teamed up with Palu Tabulations to bring proven scoring expertise under the same roof.
In the wildAt our January 2025 debut at Holmen High School's Gathering, directors loved the simplicity and having everything in one place.
In summer 2025, a nationwide director focus group helped shape what came next. They saw the power in a single tool that does everything competition-related. ezComp isn't just a place to upload a finished schedule — it's where you build it. That's ezComp.
Being mission-driven means we build for impact, not just features. We design with directors in mind and reinvest in the show choir community.
Scores, feedback, and audio are not stored on Showchoir.com and will never appear there. Only the official results you announce at your event are published to Showchoir.com.
ezComp runs on its own independent servers where scores, feedback, and audio are securely stored. Access is limited to the ezComp team and event hosts / attending directors.
Yes — as part of your show choir event. Alongside your show choir divisions you can run a solo and ensemble competition, plus other choral competitions like vocal jazz or concert choir. Each gets its own divisions, judges, score sheets, and results inside the same event.
To be straight with you: ezComp is built for show choir competitions. It's the right tool for a show choir host whose day includes other choral events, not for running a standalone dance team, marching band, or speech competition. Non-competing acts of any kind can still be scheduled as exhibition performances.
You set the pricing for your event — first group, additional groups, and late rates — and ezComp generates and sends the invoices to attending schools for you. Payment still happens the way it always has at your competition: schools pay you directly, and ezComp never touches attending-school money. You just stop building invoices by hand.
Host access is an annual license, and every feature is included — there are no add-ons, per-judge fees, or upgrade tiers. Register as a host and pay by card, ACH, or purchase order; we'll invoice your district if that's easier.
Not ready to commit? Request a demo and we'll walk you through a real event, start to finish.
They are two searchable directories, new for the 2027 season. Judges and clinicians list themselves and set their own terms: the dates they are free, the areas they judge, how far they will drive, and whether they will fly. Nothing about them is visible until they switch it on.
For hostsFind a Judge is included with your host license. Filter by expertise, state, travel distance, or availability on your specific competition date, then start a conversation without leaving ezComp.
For directorsFind a Clinician is free for every verified director, whether or not your school has ever attended an ezComp competition. If you can reach the director dashboard on showchoir.com, you can sign in and search today.
For judgesAny verified judge can be listed, even if they have never judged an ezComp event. Your judging history comes across automatically, including events from before ezComp existed, so your profile is not a blank page on day one.
See ezComp with your own event's divisions, judges, and schedule. Most hosts know within fifteen minutes whether it fits.
